JBL Venue Performance Series
The Venue Performance series combines JBL's loudspeaker technology, Crown Power amplification and dbx signal processing in a single, high-performance easy-to-use audio product. The powered speakers are also easy to configure to give small to medium venues a "big venue" quality performance. To max possibilities there's an adaptable DrivePack amplifier with a modular input bay on the rear of the unit. All VP Series loudspeakers use Harman Professional's HiQnet network input modules for system-wide remote control and monitoring. This year, JBL added two members to the VP Series: the VP7210/95DP 10-inch two-way loudspeaker and the VP7212MDP high-impact stage monitor. -PM

Martin Audio The Engineer
The machines are taking over. Replacing the need for a human sound tech, the Martin Audio Engineer controls and manages loudspeaker systems and keeps them performing at optimum levels. Once configured, this powerful DSP device uses EQ, limiting, time delay and unique algorithms to maintain a sound system. It also controls the tonal quality to compensate for the variety of source material played. The BassCreator algorithm enables The Engineer to eliminate sub-frequency noise pollution by isolating disturbing bass frequencies. What this means? Acousticians will be able to achieve a noise reduction and make the bass sound better without overloading the subs. -PM
