Exactly 224 LEDs work to create rotating and crisscrossing beams in Chauvet's Elan. The beams are at a 70-degree angle, so they can be used to provide mid-air effects, as well as coverage for wide rooms and floors. The Elan features preprogrammed color changes and patterns, and offers four channels of DMX control-red, green, blue, and strobe. Color strobing and movement can be controlled with dipswitches, and knobs are included for controlling sound sensitivity for movement and color independently. Up to 20 units can be daisy-chained with the additional power output. -ML

CITC created the StarHazer III for a quieter, odorless and more controllable haze effect. The resulting water-based haze is more translucent, avoiding the smoky-bar look in favor of a clean and enhanced club light show. The III has seven washable filters, two fans, sound insulation, and creates little residue. The unit offers both high and wide output and creates its effects at the push of a button, with special StarHazer III fluid. -ML

The DJ Scan Series of three models includes a single-color green, three-color red-yellow-green, and full-color white-light red-green-blue. The units feature sealed scanner housing to protect the dielectric scanner mirrors from dust, dirt and breakage. The units also sport AR coated aperture glass that reduces retro-reflection and output power loss. They're controlled with DMX, the optional Cypher Live Pro Remote Interface, or any ILDA-compatible laser controller. -ML

The Magnum 1800 is a high-power fogger that holds one gallon of fluid and sports a 1,150-watt heat exchanger. With the included timer remote control, both fog output and on-and-off timing can be set. The Magnum 1800 is daisy-chain compatible, and comes with soft start electronics for, "low noise output at the low end while operation is continuous at reduced output levels." The fluid bottle and line are hidden to prevent breakage, and the fluid container's easy viewing access lets you see when levels are getting low. -ML
